Is Propane Or Natural Gas Better For Fire Pits?

As with many things, the answer is it depends. Propane burns hotter than natural gas, so you do get more heat if your garden fire pit runs on propane. However, it does mean you need to make provisions to hide ugly propane tanks. We offer Propane Tank Covers in a variety of colours that double up as side tables. It also allows you to move your patio firepit if you want to.

Natural gas, on the other hand, is cheaper in the long run. Since outdoor fire pits can be connected to a natural gas line, it means you don’t have to worry about purchasing, refilling or renting a tank. Nor do you have to worry about aesthetics.

Place your patio firepit at least 10 feet (3 metres) away from structures
Use only on non-combustible surfaces
Ensure it is visible from your home and never leave it unattended
